On the occasion of 22 April — International Mother Earth Day — a delegation led by Giorgi Misheladze, chairman of the National Agency for Sustainable Land Management and Land Use Monitoring of the Republic of Georgia, together with Gizo Chelidze, head of a department of the Ministry of Agriculture of Georgia, visited Uzbekistan.
At the meeting held at the “Uzdavyerloyiha” institute, issues of the digitalisation, purposeful and effective use of agricultural land, the management of land resources and bilateral cooperation in research activities were discussed.
A mutual memorandum was also signed between the “Uzdavyerloyiha” institute and the National Agency for Sustainable Land Management and Land Use Monitoring of the Republic of Georgia, and promising plans for scientific and practical programmes serving the development of the field were determined.
