The presidential resolution “On additional measures to increase the incomes of the population by supporting the establishment of dehkan farms” (No. PQ-373, 10.09.2022) has been adopted
In accordance with the resolution, from land freed up from cotton and grain in the use of farmers and clusters, located close to settlements and with a good water supply, an additional 20 thousand hectares — a total of 100 thousand hectares of sown areas — will be leased to the population through an open electronic competition by the end of 2022, and 95,169 hectares of sown areas in 2023.
In doing so, sown areas are leased for a period of 30 years:
from land with a good water supply — in sizes from 0.15 to 1 hectare in the Andijan, Namangan and Fergana regions, from 0.30 to 1 hectare in other regions and from 0.30 to 2 hectares in the Republic of Karakalpakstan;
from low-water land — in sizes from 0.50 to 1 hectare in the regions and from 0.50 to 2 hectares in the Republic of Karakalpakstan.
Even if only 1 applicant takes part in the competition held in 2022–2023 for granting sown areas to the population, the competition is, as an exception, considered to have been held.
In districts with developed greenhouse farming, the construction of light-structure greenhouses without heating systems is permitted on the sown areas allocated to dehkan farms.
When land for a dehkan farm is leased through a competition to people included in the “Iron notebook”, the “Women’s notebook” and the “Youth notebook”, they are not removed from those registers and all benefits and preferences are retained for them for one year.
