Within the project “Sustainable management of forests and pastures in drought-affected ecosystems of Uzbekistan”, a seminar on the topic “The current state of land degradation, desertification and drought in the regions and combating them” was held in the Bukhara region.
At this seminar, Musulmon Norqulov, head of the Geobotanical Research Department of the “Uzdavyerloyiha” State Scientific and Design Institute, took part with a presentation on “The current state of Uzbekistan’s pastures”.
For reference, the main goals of the seminar were as follows:
-the current state of land degradation, desertification and drought in the regions and combating them;
- the rational use of pastures;
- providing information on how this helps to achieve land degradation neutrality (LDN) targets.
