Right now in the city of Tashkent, on the occasion of 15 October — the International Day of Rural Women — the Forum on the topic “Prospects for developing women’s entrepreneurship in rural areas and their participation in ensuring the population’s food security” is about to begin.
The organisers: the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Agriculture, the State Committee on Family and Women, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the association “Women of the agrarian sector of Uzbekistan”.
More than 60 women actively working in the agrarian sector, invited from the regions, are taking part in this republic-wide Forum.
