The presidential resolution “On measures to create an effective system for combating land degradation” (https://lex.uz/uz/docs/-6058690) (No. PQ-277, 10.06.2022)
By this resolution, a number of additional tasks on combating land degradation were assigned to the “Uzdavyerloyiha” State Scientific and Design Institute of the Ministry of Agriculture.
The “Uzdavyerloyiha” State Scientific and Design Institute, in particular:
creates a unified electronic database on land degradation;
carries out land management and geobotanical research;
carries out the inventory of land, aerospace imaging and the production of topographic-geodetic and cartographic materials;
conducts land monitoring and updates the geoinformation system through remote sensing and the use of drones;
carries out work on developing scientifically grounded recommendations for combating and preventing land degradation.
