A regional seminar was held in the To‘raqo‘rg‘on district of the Namangan region, devoted to organising the implementation of the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On measures to create an effective system for combating land degradation” and to allocating the areas freed up from grain to members of farms, to those taken under patronage, to citizens who were unable to obtain land at auction under Resolution No. PQ-20, and to farms for their own needs.
Deputy Minister of Agriculture Maqsud Ro‘zmetov, General Director of the “Uzdavyerloyiha” State Scientific and Design Institute Ruhiddin Turayev and director of the Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemical Research Shuxrat Bobomurodov gave the representatives of the field extensive information on the topic.
During the seminar, it was emphasised that it is necessary to combat degradation, to improve the quality of fertile land and, of course, to leave highly productive land to future generations and to care about this starting today.
